Sisters, is the film adaptation of an early performance piece titled Sewing Nails by Laurie Little. Originally an alternative wedding ceremony performed at the Cabana Lounge in Toronto in 1979, Sewing Nails was re-cast with two women to create the film Sisters in 1997. Black and white images unfold to the surreal sound scape of musician, Jack Hewings, as two women play out a ritual that bond them through past and present. Premiered at the first Chicago Underground Film Festival at the Bismarck Hotel in 1997.
